The purpose of Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) is to provide resources for employers to train currently employed workers in an effort to keep businesses and workers competitive. It addresses training needed to meet changing skill requirements caused by new technology, retooling, new product lines, and new organizational structuring.
IWT Funds ARE currently AVAILABLE. Review the 2021 Pee Dee LWDA IWT Policy for more information. Complete the fillable application. Complete the Self Attestation. The maximum amount to be awarded to a business or consortium is $30,000 and priority consideration will be given to businesses that were not awarded an IWT contract in the last cycle and that use SC Works for other business hiring needs. Applications for IWT assistance must be submitted to Dianne Herrington at d-herrington@peedeecog.org by 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 6, 2021. Late applications will NOT be accepted.
